Application Viewer

All of onison's applications are web-based with zero footprint on the client machines. No plug-ins, software installation or deploy­ment is necessary that might otherwise compromise the system integrity and security of the users.

All that the user needs is a minimal sys­tem with Internet access, ideally ADSL or faster.

Users gain instant access to the system from anywhere based on their assigned user privilege settings. New users can even be added automatically through an optional process.

Application Server

The ImageDirector Server is usually run as an ASP-solution in our specialized data centres in Europe and/or the US, and Preeon Publisher can be deployed as an appli­cation service, meaning that no installation is needed by the customer. However, should the customer choose to invest into its own infrastructure the system requirements are as follows:

Hardware

ImageDirector and Preeon Publisher Viewer have the minimal system requirement of an Internet-enabled computer. The Server needs at least three machines with internal connections, as well as a two-way Internet connection (Ports 80, 21, 3306) with the following specifications:

ImageDirector viewer (Windows):

• 500 MHz Intel Processor or faster
• 256 MB RAM or more
• Internet Connection (ADSL or higher is recommended)
• Windows 2000 or higher
• Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher on Windows 2000 or higher 
• Firefox on PC
• Firefox or Safari on Mac

Some administrative features are available on Internet Explorer only.

Preeon Publisher Viewer (Windows):

• 500 MHz Intel Processor or faster
• 256 MB RAM or more
• Internet Connection (ADSL or higher is recommended)
• Windows 2000 or higher
• Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher

ImageDirector application server

(Linux):

• 2 GHz Intel processor or faster
• 2 GB RAM or more
• Internet Connection with high bandwidth
• Minimum 64 MB VRAM on true colour video card

• 80 GB Fast SCSI Raid + sufficient space for derivatives  

ImageDirector media asset repository file server

(Windows Server 2005):

• 2 GHz Intel processor or faster

• 2 GB RAM or more
• 1000 Mbit/s internal network interface cards
• Two-way Internet Connection with high bandwidth (if used stand alone as a local asset repository)
• minimum 64 MB VRAM on true colour video card
• 80 GB Fast SCSI Raid + sufficient space for original files
• WS_FTP Server

• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe InDesign (for Preeon Publisher only)
• Photoshop
• Microsoft Office

Backup system

• Disc Array with enough space to hold a full backup of all of the above

Taggon - browser requirements

Taggon requires Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher to create and edit web sites.

In order to properly view a website produced by Taggon one of the following Browsers is required:

- Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher

- FireFox 0.8 or higher
- NetScape 7.0 or higher
- Opera 8.0 or higher

- Phoenix 0.1 or higher
