ImageDirector - Project FAQs
1. Security: What type of security processes and procedures do you have in place to ensure that non-authorized persons cannot gain access?
User accounts are all password protected, and all passwords are encrypted. Users may be assigned to specific groups, each with differing privilege levels. New user accounts can be approved by an administrator before being activated. Access to individual assets is also configurable. For any asset, you may individually specify exactly which group or individual are able to view or work with each particular asset.
Additionally, you have the option of specifying that only certain IP addresses are able to reach your site.
2. Backup: What type of backup processes and procedures do you have in place to ensure that content does not get lost?
Incremental backups are performed daily and full backups are performed weekly. Backups are retained for 30 days.
3. Initial Setup: What are the specific steps, from start to completion, that onison would perform to setup the Digital Asset Management Solution? Are there specific items that need to be provided to onison? (e.g. images, videos, instructions, etc.)
Our steps for installation are as follows:
A. Locate and collect all assets to be used in the system
You can perform all of the above steps in-house or through your agency. If you would like onison to assist in the initial data transfer and/or entering of the first set of metadata, onison will require all of the digital assets that will be initially placed in the system sent to onison on CD or DVD, including any instructions regarding necessary meta data to describe those assets. In addition, we will need information for the primary user accounts to be created. If you would like us to establish user groups and privilege levels as well, we need to know the guidelines for user accessibility.
4. Customization: What are the requirements, rules and procedures that need to be provided to onison so that the Digital Asset Management Solution will be specifically tailored to a customer's needs?
For the initial setup, onison will ensure that the system is fully configured according to the desired requirements. We would ask that you provide us with a list of required functionality. The system is built to deal with the needs of large corporations, however, should any additional features be desired we are able to implement those quickly. We will customize the software as much or as little as necessary in order to meet the criteria specified. Should a new feature be desired in the future, onison will implement additional functionality promptly, as required. In many cases new features are added at no extra cost since all of onison's clients can benefit from improvements to the application service.
5. Support: What kind of initial and after sales support will
Support calls are rare since our software suite was designed with ease of use in mind. Should you require any assistance, we are available to answer questions via the telephone or e-mail.
6. Training: What kind of initial and after sales training will
We are able to provide training in order to get the system up and running effectively. Online help is also provided for each of our applications. If post-sales training is required additional training sessions can be set up, however little training is needed for the use of our applications. Since the applications run within a web browser, absolutely no additional software needs to be installed. This allows new users to use our applications effectively within a short period of time. |
